The Psalms are the most quoted Old Testament book in the New Testament. Yet, the most common type of psalm quoted is an “enthronement” or “kingdom” psalm. These are psalms that were written to signify the various characteristics of God’s reign; most often sung in worship services around the holy place in Jerusalem. Psalm 24 is one of these psalms

In Psalm 73 Asaph was strongly tempted to envy the prosperity of the wicked; a common temptation, which all of us had encountered. Today's lesson demonstrates that We all must credit our safety in temptation, and our victory, not to our own wisdom, but to the presence of God who is always with us.
